The Hanna African Cemetery Project initiative focuses on cemetery clearing and preservation. Headed by Dr. Terrie Bryant and Dr. Erica Johnson, the team continues work in the area to spread awareness of abandoned cemeteries and their historical value. An information session was held in February 2025 and focused on the experiences of the team and their work on the Hanna African Cemetery Project.
