Saint Teresa Community Outreach & Empowerment is planning a Community Clearing Day of Hanna African American Cemetery beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026.
Volunteers would meet at 2280 Johnsonville Hwy in Lake City.

This is a family and community volunteer effort, and all are welcome as we clear and care for the cemetery, which preserves the memory of formerly enslaved individuals and their descendants in Lake City. No experience is required.
All volunteers must check in and attend the safety briefing before participating.
