Saint Teresa Community Outreach & Empowerment is planning a Community Clearing Day of Hanna African American Cemetery beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2026.

Volunteers would meet at 2280 Johnsonville Hwy in Lake City.

Check-In: 8:00 a.m.
Safety Briefing: 8:15 a.m. (Required)
Clearing Begins: 8:30 a.m.

SAFETY NOTICE

Volunteers must attend the safety briefing before participating. Dress protectively for heat, brush, and uneven ground. Snakes may be present and blend into leaves and ground cover. Assume any snake is dangerous — do not approach or touch.

WHAT TO BRING / WEAR

• Gloves • Closed-toe shoes or boots
• Long pants & long-sleeve shirts recommended
• Water • Hat or sun protection recommended
